Leisurely Coffee Shop is our pared-back café: white walls, grey floor, a long counter, two stools and almost nothing else. The restraint is the design. It photographs like a shop you would actually sit in rather than a model of one.
With so little decoration, the shell has to be square, and the instructions spend their first pages on exactly that. After it is up, the build moves quickly. The counter front and the menu board are transfers and they are the only colour in the room, so line them up carefully.
It sits mid-shelf of 35 room kits, builders have left it 4.2 out of five across 126 notes, and it is in stock as we write this.
We design every room the way we design our dollhouse kits: a story first, then the furniture that story needs, then the boxes of loose parts — flowers, jars, a folded newspaper — that make Leisurely Coffee Shop look lived in. Everything in this DIY miniature house kit is cut in our own workshop, and we build one before we pack any.
