Nothing in this section is a scene. These are the spares and the tools: AA and AAA battery packs with pre-soldered light wires, loose LED strings for adding a lamp where the kit did not plan for one, a wind-up music movement, and a seventeen-piece tool set with the side cutters, files, tweezers and sanding sticks that make a clean build possible.
Several entries here are bundles — one of our miniature house kits packed together with the tool set, so that a first-time builder opens one box instead of three. If you are buying a DIY kit as a gift for someone who owns no hobby tools at all, a bundle saves them a disappointing first evening.
The LED wires are worth a word of their own. Every dollhouse and room kit we design already carries its own lighting, but a finished house always ends up with one dark corner you did not foresee — behind the stair, under the shop awning, inside the greenhouse. A spare wire and a second battery pack fix that in ten minutes.
Battery packs wear out and LED wires get pinched behind walls. Both are cheap, and we would rather you replaced a wire than abandoned a half-built house. The same goes for tweezers: a bent pair has ruined more miniature furniture than any amount of clumsiness.
If you build more than one kit a year, the seventeen-piece set pays for itself on the second build. Everything in it is sized for this scale of work — small files, fine cutters, a steel rule short enough to use inside a room box.
No. Every kit arrives with the glue and tweezers it needs. The seventeen-piece set makes the work cleaner and faster, and it starts to matter from the second or third build onwards.
Yes. We use the same connector and the same battery packs across the whole workshop, so a spare wire lights a room kit, a book nook or a three-storey dollhouse equally well.
A complete miniature house kit plus the seventeen-piece tool set, packed as one parcel. The kit is exactly the same as the one sold on its own — nothing is removed to make room for the tools.
“Great little kit for my model railroad. Very easy and comfortable to use. For the price it was a no Brainerd to get for supplies to work on my hobby.”
“I love this little set. It comes with so many great tools for using on 3D printed projects or yeah, model planes. Really, almost anything that has to do with cutting or sanding small pieces, it's perfect for making the finishing touches. It comes in a small plastic case, which is nice to hold everything together.”
“The lights work wonderfully! I needed to replace a faulty led light with a miniature kit that I'm working on. You'll want to check that each electrode is wired properly as I initially had the black and red wires reversed. The battery pack that came with my kit has the opposite wiring.”
