Flever Mood for Love — DIY Miniature Room Kit

$17.98

4.2 · 310 notes

Mood for Love is a rose-toned bedroom with a wardrobe, a dressing table, a bed under a window and a rug that takes up most of the floor. It is one of our oldest room kits and still the one we point beginners at when they want something that will look finished.

The build is almost entirely flat panels and simple furniture, so an evening is realistic. Where it gets interesting is the dressing table, which has a real mirror and a scatter of tiny bottles. One warm strand runs behind the headboard and lights the whole room from there.

It sits mid-shelf of 35 room kits, builders have left it 4.2 out of five across 310 notes, and it is in stock as we write this.

We design every room the way we design our dollhouse kits: a story first, then the furniture that story needs, then the boxes of loose parts — flowers, jars, a folded newspaper — that make Mood for Love look lived in. Everything in this DIY miniature house kit is cut in our own workshop, and we build one before we pack any.

What arrives in your Flever miniature kit

  • Numbered sheets of laser-cut MDF and card for the walls, floor and furniture.
  • Fabric, printed paper, paper flowers and the small decorations that dress the room.
  • An LED light wire with a battery pack for the house lights.
  • Glue, tweezers, double-sided tape and a sanding stick.
  • A clear plexiglass dust cover for the open front.
  • A step-by-step booklet with a photograph for every stage.

How the DIY build goes

  1. Decide where it will stand first — a bookshelf gap, a desk corner or a display cabinet — and filter this shelf by the size that fits.
  2. Pick the scene you would like to look at every day rather than the one with the most parts; a simple room you finish beats a crowded one you abandon.
  3. If this is a first DIY kit, choose something under forty dollars and keep the ambitious house for the second build.

Every Flever room kit is designed, cut and packed by the same small workshop, and we build one of each ourselves before it ever goes on sale.

Notes from people who built it

“Love it. Got it to build with my kids. Of course, most of it was done by me, but they loved helping me finding parts and tell me what next steps should be.”

“This was literally soooo cute! All the pieces were there, the instructions were simple enough, and the way it turned out was satisfactory, but I have one issue, they didnt give me glue, which I found a little odd, bc ever other kit I had bought, came with some”
