Flever The Age of Innocence — DIY Miniature Room Kit

$22.31

4.3 · 1,825 notes

The Age of Innocence is a schoolroom: a green blackboard across the back wall, rows of wooden desks, a globe, a map and a teacher's table by the window. We made it after enough people asked us for something that was not a home, a shop or a café.

The desks are the repetitive part — the same small assembly several times over — which some builders find meditative and some find long. Everything on the blackboard wall is a transfer, so the lettering is crisp without any painting. Light comes from a single ceiling strand.

It sits mid-shelf of 35 room kits, builders have left it 4.3 out of five across 1,825 notes, and it is in stock as we write this.

We design every room the way we design our dollhouse kits: a story first, then the furniture that story needs, then the boxes of loose parts — flowers, jars, a folded newspaper — that make The Age of Innocence look lived in. Everything in this DIY miniature house kit is cut in our own workshop, and we build one before we pack any.

What arrives in your Flever miniature kit

  • Numbered sheets of laser-cut MDF and card for the walls, floor and furniture.
  • Fabric, printed paper, paper flowers and the small decorations that dress the room.
  • An LED light wire with a battery pack for the house lights.
  • Glue, tweezers, double-sided tape and a sanding stick.
  • A clear plexiglass dust cover for the open front.
  • A step-by-step booklet with a photograph for every stage.

How the DIY build goes

  1. Decide where it will stand first — a bookshelf gap, a desk corner or a display cabinet — and filter this shelf by the size that fits.
  2. Pick the scene you would like to look at every day rather than the one with the most parts; a simple room you finish beats a crowded one you abandon.
  3. If this is a first DIY kit, choose something under forty dollars and keep the ambitious house for the second build.

Every Flever room kit is designed, cut and packed by the same small workshop, and we build one of each ourselves before it ever goes on sale.
